Deepening the Hatha Yoga Practice
With Sabu Chaitanya

In this 2.5 hour workshop, Sabu will delve into many different aspects of a traditional Hatha Yoga practice, including Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises), Surya Namaskar (sun salutations), and Savasana (relaxation). The workshop will take you through a balanced, fun and challenging class along with descriptions about physiology, anatomy, psychology, emotions, philosophy, and prana (life-force energy) as you move through the various postures and exercises. The class will be an open dialogue, as Sabu welcomes any questions you may have about all topics relating to yoga, breath, philosophy, exercise, meditation, diet and/or whatever you may feel to ask.
Sabu has extensive training and decades of practicing experience, which provides an environment where students of all levels, as well as other Yoga Instructors can benefit and learn. Sabu will be in the area all weekend, and is also available to meet for discussion and/or private sessions.

Therapy for the Body & Spirit with
Liz Haapanen

Liz Haapanen has been practicing massage therapies since 1977. She became a C.M.T. at the Institute for Holistic Studies in Santa Barbara, California, in 1986. She has studied numerous modalities, but actively uses Swedish massage and deep-tissue release techniques for musculature, and Cranio-Sacral Therapy for the nervous system. The work she does is deeply relaxing and often serves to unwind old pain/compensation patterns. Being unexpectedly strong, yet sensitive, Liz's work attracts grateful comments such as, "You have psychic fingers," or "You have amazingly smart hands", and, "I feel like a brand new person."
Liz works out of studios at the Caspar Gardens, and she is at the
Fort Bragg Yoga Studio every Wednesday.
